AdSense-ready website checklist: what Google looks for
Many people build a website, add a few posts and apply for Google AdSense, then get rejected. Approval is always Google’s decision, but most rejections come from avoidable issues. Here is the checklist we follow.
1. Original, useful content
Write content that genuinely helps the reader. Copied, spun or auto-generated thin content is one of the most common reasons for rejection.
2. Required pages
- About Us
- Contact Us
- Privacy Policy (mentioning cookies and ads)
- Terms / Disclaimer
3. Clean navigation
Clear menu, categories and internal links so visitors and Google can easily find content.
4. Mobile-friendly and fast
Most traffic is on phones. Slow or broken mobile pages hurt both users and approval chances.
5. Follow the program policies
No copyrighted material without permission, no adult or harmful content, and no misleading pages.
6. Never generate fake traffic
Clicking your own ads, asking others to click or buying traffic leads to invalid activity and can permanently disable your account.
Honest note: Anyone who "guarantees" AdSense approval is not being truthful. A good site improves your chances; the decision is Google’s.
